We got the film incentives. Our city is a GREAT location for any crime film, horror or post apocalyptic film. INSTANT PRODUCTION VALUES.Gary T. I wonder if George actually went into the PT thinking they were gong to be the greatest thing he ever did?Seannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24904037.post-64320659657686166342013-03-21T13:49:35.270-03:002013-03-21T13:49:35.270-03:00Some may say the Star Wars prequel were a creative...Some may say the Star Wars prequel were a creative tanking. ;-)

Also The Hobbit wasn't just some stuff whipped up by Studio Execs over martinis at Spagos like far too many sequels and prequels.Furious Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07934529688753875751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24904037.post-24006200272266222132013-03-21T12:09:43.172-03:002013-03-21T12:09:43.172-03:00The Star Wars prequels didn't tank. They were ...The Star Wars prequels didn't tank. They were shitty movies, but they didn't tank. Oh, and the Hobbit. In terms of being a movie it is a prequel since it's set before LOTR's. Again not as good as the originals, but made money. Other than that, yeah not many prequels have made money.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24904037.post-81744407684636215322013-03-20T10:30:15.078-03:002013-03-20T10:30:15.078-03:00D, you are a brave brave man.
Anyway, I remember ...D, you are a brave brave man.

Anyway, I remember reading a William Goldman piece on the folly of giving the character's whole backstory. He used Rick from Casablanca as an example.

Of course now, they don't want to just blather a whole lot of exposition at you about a character's troubled past, oh NO....now you get to SEE it.

Because, of course, prequels work out SOOO well. Aside from the Planet of the Apes prequel, has there been any other prequels that have NOT tanked?Blast Hardcheesenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24904037.post-78937929986086060322013-03-20T07:57:51.764-03:002013-03-20T07:57:51.764-03:00I think Detroit is worse than NYC in 1981.
