I'm structuring it as a sort of introduction to how the movie biz works (or doesn't) for beginners, and it's giving me a chance to cram in all the history and trivia I've accumulated over the years. I'm adapting some of my older posts, writing new articles, and digging up as much stuff as I can for it.
I have over 40,000 words so far, so I'm really halfway there so to speak.
I'm also adapting one of my script projects as a novel. Why? Because I just can't seem to function until I'm doing too much.

Firstly, I must voice the tremendous difficulty I have in reaching the comments section on this site. For me to do so is a project akin to threading jute twine through a sewing needle. I realize this is my own doing as the provincial second cousin once removed to your goat herder (or was it sheep? or a yaks?) who refuses to upgrade from dial-up, but my own doing or not, you really are an effort, Furious D.
ReplyDeleteI acquiesce, however, accepting the effort required for the reward in entertainment I find garnered here. Just last night I realized it is, indeed, entertainment pleasure I take from reading back through your blog. I knew this when I went looking for a snack before going to the computer; the fact that I chose a glass of shiraz and almond stuffed olives, suggests I consider you enlightening as well.
As you may have guessed, I don't come for the Hollywood talk. I come for the writing, so it makes me very glad to know your writing efforts are going well. As mentioned, I'll buy the Hollywood book and am beginning to think I'll savour it, but I bloody look forward to that novel.
