  1. Dirty McDingus Sezs~

"Flight" should take all the awards for pretty much everything. It will be the Shortest film in the list (Being only TWENTY MINUTES LONG~~ there's something that follows a chronic druggy boozing up the rest of the show, but it didn't make much sense to those AWESOME twenty minutes). This should also be lauded for showing America what a cracked up snorting booze hound can do in a terrible situation! Had that pilot not buried his head in a bowl of cocaine; that plane would of made a messy smear on the ground due to panic and pant wetting terror~~ #1 in me books!

  2. I know you didn't call out for questions, but what are your thoughts on casting actors who clearly can't sing the part in screen adaptations of musicals? Musicals seem to be the worst victim of Hollywood's star fever to me. If they absolutely must cast a "star" could they at least have someone else be their singing voice? Where does the problem lie here? Are the audiences so tone deaf it doesn't make a difference? Are producers not concerned with singing at all - if so, why make a musical in the first place? Why can't Hollywood make a good musical anymore?

  3. Casting is a complex process and being "right for the part" is often the last thing being considered. Personal relationships, backroom business deals, and about 100 other things get tossed into the mix first.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

  4. Why Moonrise Kingdom?

  5. The most hilarious nomination this year is FLIGHT for best original screenplay.
